Documents required to start an E2 visa application at the Korean Immigration Office

- Original, Apostilled National Criminal Record Check:
- A Subject Access Search through the Metropolitan Police or a Basic Disclosure through Disclosure Scotland will be accepted
- Must be less than 6 months old when it is submitted to the Immigration Office
- The original CRC must be apostilled by the Foreign and Commonwealth Office (FCO)
- A notarized and Apostilled PHOTOCOPY of your University Diploma
- A photocopy of your diploma must be apostilled by the Foreign & Commonwealth Office (FCO).
- A Photocopy of the Information (photo) Page in your passport
- Passport must have at least 1 year remaining validity.
- 4 color Passport Photos
- Photocopies will not be accepted.
- Additional photos will be required later on.
- A signed copy of your Resume with correct address and contact information.
- A signed contract.
- Health Statement Form
- Must be filled out by you.
- Once you arrive in Korea, you will visit a general hospital or community health center to obtain medical exam certificate to apply for Alien Registration at a local immigration office within 90 days of arrival.

teaching requirements
If you wish to teach in Korea in less than 6 months, you should start gathering all of these required documents:

- Valid passport, that is valid at least 6 months after you plan on landing in Korea
- Photocopy of your original degree that has been apostilled, or verified by the Korean Consulate (for Cdn applicants)
- 3 sets of Sealed University Transcripts
- FBI or national level criminal record check - for all countries other than Canada, this crc must be apostilled. See apostilleinfo.com to learn more. Must be less than 6 months old.
- Letters of reference only required for public school jobs. LOR's must be from previous employers or professors, and be signed, dated, on letterhead and provide contact information.
